Pretty place and nice, but pricey.

Breakfast was very good and the Restaurant Manager is a joy to work with. She was there to attend to our special needs if we had any. Also the girl that cooked the eggs was delightful and so helpful. Kudos to her!!!

The pool table, ping pong table, volleyball ball court, bicycles and all that you advertise you have to pay to use. They should be included in the price of the stay. Also, the fact that the pool closed at 8pm on Sunday and it was a holiday weekend was not satisfying. Furthermore, you have so many pools but the guest can only use the one designated pool. To me that is false advertisement.

For the most part it was excellent. Staff was helpful. Food was great.

the breakfast was awesome, very good food. the staff was always helpful. Rooms were clean and staff that cleaned the rooms were always helpful. Excellent job for the employees that cleaned the rooms.

Wonderful

The staff, pools/beach/leisure areas, restaurants and poolside bar were all fantastic. The staff at the beach for the water activities like kayaking were brilliant

We were a bit surprised to be staying in what seemed like an ex-apartment block to the side of the main resort area as the quality and style was quite different from the main area (the main area gives a great first impression and very high expectations for the rooms). However, we can't complain about the rooms themselves, the facilities and amenities were all great!

Super facilities and staff

The facilities are great. Gym, many pools, slides, games room and two restaurants as well as swim up bar. There are different pool areas so you can always find peace and quiet. The beach is okay, rocky and the water not amazing to go in to but the pools more than make up for it. The staff were all exceptional. So welcoming, helpful and efficient in service. The breakfast buffet is good. Could have a few more baker options like croissants but overall it was nice and changed options every second day. The food in the restaurants is good quality and huuuge portions! Not a lot happening around the resort but you can get a tuk tuk from the gate to spa, other restaurants etc... further in the town area. In general rough roads and not a lot happening. If looking for adventure Maolbol or Oslob probably better options. This was pure relaxation!

The rooms are basic for what you pay but we didn't stay in it very much so didn't mind. The furniture needs an upgrade for sure but I think a lot of things were ruined in the typhoon. Lots of construction going on in this resort and others still. The noise from construction however never bothered us, we didn't hear a thing. Tour desk- hotel should have some company they hook up with or their own boats and tour options for example to do island hopping. Spa- closed due to damage during the typhoon. The front desk recommended a place that was nice that we went to or they can have them come to the hotel.

Flawed but beautiful stay

The facilities were gorgeous! We especially liked how the architecture incorporates the nature, building around trees rather than by removing them. The staff were also helpful and could come up with solutions to all if the problems we encountered. The gym was immaculate. The pizza in the restaurant was definitely one of the best we've had in Cebu.

The breakfast was quite limited, but we got a complimentary cafe latte to replace a missing breakfast dish. The room we were in initially had biting ants in the bed. We were given a complimentary upgrade, but we lost a lot of time while waiting for the news on how the situation would be handled. There was a mix-up with a few of the restaurant bills, and we were about to be charged extra on the second one. This was cleared up, but we had to return to the restaurant to explain the mistake, which took time.

The layout and the pools were beautiful. The apartments were comfortable and clean. Liked the beach and some water activities. Gym great as was personal trainer. Helpful and friendly staff.

It’s a great place only we were disturbed by the building work and felt the price should reflect this more. We didn’t see that building work was happening though it was on the website. Inspire if noise we had a good stay.

IT WAS EASY AND PLEASANT

the room was very windy and clean

some stupid, putted an ashtray at the entrance of thr hotel so all the handicappped smokers went to smell all the lobby,i personaly trowed away it in the garden,if you go there and see the same problem do the same as me, SIEG HEIL ALWAYS FIGHT THE HANDICAPPED SMOKERS FREE AIR IN A FREE WORLD

Very Poor

I stayed at the Tambuli Seaside Resort and Spa between 17th and 19th of July to celebrate my daughter’s birthday. I was very disappointed with my experience and the lack of customer service. During booking I informed them that the reason for the trip was my daughter’s birthday. When I asked Rhea and Dia at front desk for a lighter or matches to light the candle on my daughters cake they told me that couldn’t have one. I can understand they do not allow smoking in the room but to refuse to allow a single candle on a birthday cake seems excessive and petty. When I returned to my room later I found that they had left a lighter, but by that time there was no need and it just added to my frustration. During checkout Rhea repeated the point that matches and lighter were not allowed in the room due to fire risk, this was unnecessary and left a bad feeling. There was one nice member of staff, Raffy, in the dining area. If the rest of the staff were more like him I would consider returning but frankly between the poor attitude of the reception/ front desk staff and the bad smell, like stagnant water, I will choose to stay somewhere else instead. The Jpark Island Resort, and Plantation Bay Resort, both offer much better service. Plantation Bay is a similar cost but far superior experience and will be where I probably stay again rather than Tambuli.
